I planted my tomatoes today. They are roma tomatoes. I used 4 jiffy pots in a window box with a vegetable fertilizer spike busted in half on either side of each pot. Where I have the window box (hanging on the front porch rail outside my window) gets full sun for at least the last half of the day if not 2/3 or 3/4 of the day. I don't have any pictures this week since it would just be of pots and soil. I will take and post pics next week regardless of whether or not anything has come up, although I should have at least a little green poking up by then. At some point later this week I may post a picture of my homemade (tiny) tomato cage.
Oh yeah. Because I would like to have 4 plants in a window box, I plan to try and keep them pretty small. Plus, if it's not putting its energy into stem, I should theoretically get better tomatoes. Basically, this is going to be an experiment in bonsai tomatoes. And if not technically actual bonsai, still tiny tomato plants.
